About kill quests

Post by Ynfernity »

Recently, I reached 185cl and was able to receive a new type of kq(Alpha Vampire),
but I also found out that I can no longer receive quests of Tomb Guardian .
However, I can still see many useless low-level quests.

Can someone explain the mechanism behind all of this?

Thank you.

It also stays that way, as far as I know, no one above 184 gets tomb quests.

It was mentioned in Discord, the reason is in the KQ difficulty rounding:

I don't think it is intentional, looks more like a bug.

The quest difficulties (Easy, Normal, Hard, Hell) result in bands of monster combat levels.
For example, based on your combat level, you may notice bands of (edit: adjusted ranges to match what I get at CL 190):
  • Easy: 170-242
  • Normal: 250-300
  • Hard: 330-392
  • Hell: 505-545
As your Combat Level changes, the range of the difficulty bands changes Unfortunately, that means some monsters will become unavailable until your Combat Level raises high enough to shift the difficulty band to include them.

The gap between Hard and Hell seems to be gigantic at higher Combat Levels.

This is how kill quests from the Quest Master NPC have always functioned. :(
